The provost oversees academic policies and activities throughout the University and is responsible for planning, coordination and assessment of the University's academic enterprise.

Reporting directly to the provost are the deans of the School of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, School of Health Science and Human Performance, College of Business, Management & Economics, and Graduate School.

Additionally, the provost is responsible for and has oversight over the vice provost, and associate provosts for enrollment services and institutional assessment and effectiveness as well as the assistant vice-president for outreach and the director of the library.

The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs provides leadership in fulfilling the University's strategic directions -- academic excellence, student learning, service, diversity, expanded resources and a positive campus climate.
