The Sport Management Club (a student organization under the Student Activity Association) provides the means for undergraduate and graduate students at ESU to gain invaluable experience applying sport management concepts in practical settings.
As a means of satisfying student learning outcomes, the department now requires active club membership of at least one year.
Students are highly encouraged to participate for their entire time at ESU.
The Sport Management faculty and ESU Athletics have worked to create some exciting opportunities for sport management students at ESU which include assisting at ESU sporting events, as well as managing and marketing events such as Super Soccer in the fall semester and the Puma sale every spring semester.
These applied experiences in marketing and facilities and event management prove vital in boosting student resumes!
The club meets regularly to identify and discuss professional development, volunteering and social events.
For more information about the Sport Management Club, please contact the club's faculty advisor, Dr. Paula M. Parker at 570-422-3874 or pparker@po-box.esu.edu.
The club officers may be reached via email at esusmgtclub@gmail.com.
