The Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is a preprofessional degree which will prepare you for admission to a graduate program in the field.

When entering the program, students will begin taking Speech-Language Pathology courses as a freshman, or as soon as the decision to enter the program has been made. It is also possible to enroll in introductory Speech-language Pathology courses to explore this field. A plan of study is made up by the chair for all major students, thus guaranteeing your class placement for department courses.

The Speech-Language Pathology major consists of 33 required credits and 17-20 co-requisite credits. You must meet East Stroudsburg University's General Education requirements, but you will have room to explore other areas of interest and take the necessary education courses for future certification as a teacher of the speech-language impaired.

Other elective classes such as Introduction to Sign Language and Communication of Aging are offered to majors and non-majors to explore the vast field of Speech-Language Pathology.

The Speech-Language Pathology program is small which allows more opportunities for assistance and guidance. The undergraduate program prepares students for future graduate programs and professional development.
