Students may begin taking classes in the speech–language pathology major their freshman year. Starting the fall of 2009 there will be thirty-five seats available for the freshmen class.

All students are expected to maintian at least 3.0 cumulative average and a 3.0 in the major. Anyone not maintaining the average will not be allowed to complete the program.

Graduating from the program does not guarantee entrance into the master's degree program.  Students must apply to the graduate school and the department if they wish to stay at ESU.  Students applications will be reviewed by the department's graduate admissions committee. The master's degree is an entry level degree for most employment opportunities in speech-language pathology.

We welcome anyone wishing to come and visit the department.  It is best to make an appointment to speak to one of the faculty members.   Please call us at 570-422-3247 with any questions.
