In addition to its intended us as an educational tool for the students at ESU, the Planetarium also offers shows to the general public at no cost – including school and community groups.

The Planetarium features seasonal programs about the night sky developed by Physics Professor David Buckley.

Each of these presentations are shown monthly on the facility’s new state-of-the-art Spitz SciDome projection system and describe what can be seen in the heavens during specific times of the year.

This seasonal show is followed by a feature-filled dome presentation titled, "Oasis in Space," which describes mankind's current knowledge of the universe and solar system and the search for water and possible life on other worlds.

The Planetarium program is open to the general public at no cost but reservations are required, seating is limited. Online reservations will be taken on a first-come first-serve basis. If you would like to make a reservation, you may do so by clicking on the "reservation" button on this web page. The number of seats you may reserve is limited to 4 per person.

The program is suitable for children but be advised that the planetarium will be quite dark during the sky show and feature show.
