The Music Department of East Stroudsburg University announces the availability of scholarships up to $750.00 annually to highly qualified vocalists.

All scholarship recipients are required to sing (for credit or non-credit) in ESU Concert Choir, Pop/Jazz Singers, and
A Cappella Ensemble. Private voice lessons for academic credit would be available, if desired.

Scholarship awards are determined by an audition with the Director of Choral & Vocal Activities for entrance into Pop/Jazz Singers and/or A Cappella Ensemble. Preference will be given to qualified male singers. For audition details, see Fall 2008 Audition Instructions.

The applicant should possess solid vocal proficiency and previous choral singing experience. Good music reading skills are expected (this may be satisfied by taking several music reading courses at ESU).

**The student does not have to be a music major to qualify. The scholarship can be renewed each year.
