Individuals who already have an earned bachelor's degree and who desire to be certified to teach mathematics, 6 to 12th grade, must satisfy the requirements outlined in the link below. Courses that were taken previously that are comparable to the courses included in the requirements and for which a grade of C or higher was earned, will be considered as replacements for the required courses.

If you are interested in pursuing this certification you should contact the Department of Professional and Secondary Education (570-422-3363) to discuss general certification requirements and admission to the graduate school. For a review of the mathematics requirements still needed, contact the Mathematics Department (570-422-3447) for an appointment.
