ESU Chapter of Eta Sigma Delta
The East Stroudsburg University Chapter of Eta Sigma Delta has as its purpose to reward and recognize exceptional academic achievement among Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management students. The ESU Chapter of Eta Sigma Delta is administered by the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education, www.chrie.org the leading international association devoted to hospitality and tourism education.
Membership:
To become eligible for membership in the ESU Chapter of Eta Sigma Delta, students must meet the following requirements:
- Declared HRTM major
- Completed at least 60 credits towards graduation
- Achieved a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Demonstrated a contribution or commitment to the hospitality industry
All students who are deemed eligible for membership will receive a letter of invitation from the faculty advisor.

The Hotel, Restaurant Management Club
The Hotel, Restaurant Management Club, promotes this segment of the hospitality industry through observing, learning and participating in related hotel and restaurant operations.
The membership is open to all students who have an interest or desire to learn more about the hospitality industry.
The majority of members are students who are enrolled in the East Stroudsburg University Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.
The various activities the Hotel Restaurant Management Club include property tours, attendance of career fairs in the hospitality industry, guest speakers, and food preparation for special events.
Meeting times and places are posted in the Center of Hospitality Management during the fall and spring semesters.

HRTM Marketing Club
The overall purpose of the student club should acquaint its members with the basic concepts and philosophies of sales and marketing in the hospitality industry. Student members are offered the opportunity to become familiar with the overall objectives of the parent organization, HSMA International.
The Sales, Marketing, & Tourism Club takes many trips throughout the academic year and invites a variety of industry familiar speakers to many of their meetings. The club has taken trips to New York, Philadelphia, & Washington D.C. to visit some of the nicest companies in our industry.
