Bachelor of Science with an Exercise Science major: 60 semester hours
Upon successful completion this concentration affords the student the opportunity to pursue a variety of other educational and employment opportunities within and even outside of the traditional Exercise Science curriculum (click here for course sequence)
This concentration serves as a springboard for more advanced studies in Exercise Science, Clinical Exercise Physiology or a host of Exercise therapy-related schools such as Physical Therapy.
Therefore the Exercise Physiology concentration serves as a preparatory degree for further graduate study by providing the opportunity to complete many of the prerequisites for graduate study.
- Required major courses: EXSC 100, 120, 121, 122, 202, 203, 310, 311, 322, 330, 402, 410, 431, 441, 445, 447, 451, 452, 453, 454, 455, 461, 462, and 3 credits from 485 or 486.
- Corequisites:Twenty additional semester hours from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science and Athletic Training, or required to complete the preparation for this concentration.
- Minimum Standard: A minimum grade of a "C" in 400 level major courses and a quality point average of 2.5 in major course required for graduation.
