Sigma Tau Delta
 Membership in ESU's chapter of this international English Honor Society is open to students who possess superior scholarship, seriousness of purpose, unselfishness of service in the pursuit of truth and beauty in the literary arts, and congeniality with others of like interests and ideals.

The English Club
 English majors and other interested students, assisted by a Faculty Advisor, join this organization to explore career options, sponsor poetry readings, etc.

ESU also offers students opportunities to get involved with the theater, a radio station (WESS 90.3 FM), a television station, the Student Senate, and a wide range of other campus activities.
