Dr. Wenjie Yan is a professor of communication studies and Chinese.

He completed his doctoral studies at the State University of new York at Buffalo.

His teaching and research interest include intercultural communication, general semantics, study of media and politics in China, and teaching Chinese to English speakers.

He has taught and supervised ESU's summer program at Shenyang Normal University in China since 2005
