The university is located in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. A port town on the Río Plata, Montevideo is the capital of the MERCOSUR and is mainly populated by European immigrants. The city offers a mild climate, clean air and wonderful beaches. The university is a 15 minute ride from the downtown area. |

An intensive Spanish-language course is offered during the academic year (65 hours of instruction per semester). Pre-session intensive courses are offered in February and July (not included in ISEP benefits) if the minimum enrollment requirements are met. |

| Housing |

There is no on-campus housing. Housing and meals are provided by host families. In the unlikely occasion a family is not available, students are housed in a student hostel. The ISEP coordinator advises students on their housing accommodations prior to arrival. |

The four-week Summer Program integrates Community Service with intermediate-level Spanish Language study and Latin American History and Culture.
