- Italian pre session: A four-week intensive pre-session is offered at the beginning of each semester.
- Italian During the Program: Support language courses are offered throughout the semester (up to 15 hours a week).
- Combination of option 1) and 2): A combined language package where the student will attend both the Italian Pre Session and semester support courses.
Note: Exchange students will have to pay an extra fee for the language options. A discount will be offered if the student chooses option 3. For ISEP-Direct students, all language options are included in the overall ISEP-Direct program fee. Beginner level Italian students are required to enroll in at least one of the language program options. |

The primary accommodation for ISEP students will be off-campus housing in apartments. Students receive a stipend to cover meals at the cafeteria or to prepare meals. Married student and family housing is not available. |

Almost everything in Trieste is within walking distance and the city has reliable public transportation including a turn-of-the-century streetcar for the hills. Students may take some courses taught in English, including many Economics courses, but knowledge of the Italian language is necessary. The university offers Italian language courses throughout the year that can be taken in addition to regular university courses. An intensive pre-session course is also available before the start of the first and second semesters. Students may also access online Italian lessons offered through the Language Center. |
