The Sport Management Club (a student organization under the Student Activity Association) provides the means for undergraduate and graduate students at ESU to gain invaluable experience applying sport management concepts in practical settings.
As a means of satisfying student learning outcomes, the department recommends active club membership of at least one year.
Students are highly encouraged to participate for their entire time at ESU.
The Sport Management faculty and ESU Athletics have worked to create some exciting opportunities for sport management students at ESU which include assisting at ESU sporting events, as well as managing and marketing events such as Super Soccer in the fall semester and the Puma sale every spring semester. The Puma Sale will be held in Spring 2014 on the campus of ESU; dates are TBD. Once announced, dates and times are subject to change without notice. These applied experiences in marketing, facilities and event management prove vital in boosting student resumes!
The club meets regularly to identify and discuss professional development, volunteering and social events.
