Jobs and Employment Opportunities
Job openings in physics and physics-related areas are posted on the physics bulletin board and shelf, second floor of Gessner.

Students can also visit the Office of Career Services. They maintain a presence at CollegeCentral (updates on internship announcements) as well as a list of part-time jobs. Sometimes you can find a part-time job that, in cooperation with the employer, you can use as an internship.

Opportunities for Future Graduate Study
Graduate programs routinely send us information posters regarding their programs. These are stored in two loose-leaf folders in room 223.

A list of these programs is posted on the physics bulletin board, second floor of Gessner. Most include an information card that can be sent back for more information.

These graduate programs cover more than just physics. For instance, there are programs in:

  • Veterinary Medicine
  • Optics
  • Engineering
  • Health Physics
  • Storm Electricity
  • Manufacturing and Logistics
  • Biophysics and Neuroscience
  • Public Affairs
  • Environmental Science
  • Paper Science

Check out the various paths that are available to a physics major!

The physics bulletin board, second floor of Gessner Hall, also has information on graduate fellowship (scholarship) information. Also in room 223 of Gessner Hall is a catalog of every US physics program.
