ESU's Extended Learning/Off-Campus Continuing Professional Education office aims to extend the resources of the university to our surrounding communities by offering credit courses and programs throughout eastern Pennsylvania. Summer 2008 Educator program information (on and off campus):
NEW---Summer 2008--PA Inspired Leadership Program
ESU, in conjunction with CIU 20, has been approved through the Pennsylvania Department of Education to be a provider of continuing professional education hours for school and system leaders per the requirements of Act 45 of 2007.
Hours will be delivered via graduate credit course work both on campus and on site at IU 20. Registration is limited to school and system leaders. These courses will be repeated in the summer of 2009 (switching locations).
Courses will be held at ESU the week of June 23-27 and at IU 20 in Easton the week of July 21-25. See our Extended Learning Schedule for registration details.
NEW --Summer 2008--Public Health Certificate Program at Dixon University Center in Harrisburg, PA
This certificate is an 18-credit program that provides training in the core public health content areas, that form part of ESU's accredited MPH program. The program is designed for professionals with a minimum of a bachelor's degree who wish to gain an educational foundation in public health. The certificate content areas include: scientific foundations of public health; public health administration; applied statistical skills used in public health practice; environmental health; and a 150-hour fieldwork experience where students work on a special project at their worksite under the supervision and mentorship of an ESU faculty member.

* These courses are provided in a distance education format; remaining courses held at the Dixon University Center.

On Line Graduate Courses at ESU
ESU offers numerous on line courses for educators that can be taken as "stand alone" courses or as part of our graduate degree programs. Most class work will be completed on line however, some on-campus meetings may be required. Please contact the course instructor for details. **The technolgy fee is charged once per semester for part time students (1-8 credits). The fee increases to $87.50 for PA residents and $132.00 for non-PA residents for full time students (9-15 credits).
Registration Procedures:
Mail/Fax/In person: Print and complete all information on the registration form and submit with payment or select a deferment option (see registration form for details). Make your check/money order payable to East Stroudsburg University or fill in credit card information on registration form. Return to East Stroudsburg University, Office of Continuing Education, Zimbar Hall, 200 Prospect Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301-2999 or fax to 570-422-2874.
Register Early! Under-enrolled courses are subject to cancellation one week prior to the start date. Course offerings are subject to change--continue to check our "At-a-glance" schedule for most updated course information.
