The Department of Academic Enrichment and Learning (DAEL) provides academic support services to undergraduate / graduate students at ESU, with ten full-time faculty members. It consists of the following offices, listed below, whose mission is to provide opportunities and support for students who want to improve their academic achievement; who are potentially at risk academically; or who may face institutional and attitudinal barriers to success:
  • The Learning Center
  • University-Wide Tutorial Program
  • Advising for Undeclared Students
  • Advising for Students in Academic Jeopardy
  • Disability Services
  • Act 101: A Program for Excellence
  • Student Support Services

DAEL offers a variety of services including academic advising, tutorial assistance, early registration and accommodations for eligible students with documented disabilities, academic counseling, and academic skills development. Students are invited to drop by the Learning Center to study or sign up for tutoring or to inquire about any DAEL programs.
