The role of our program is to provide our students with targeted intervention through counseling, tutoring, supportive services and program activities that enhance their academic potential for graduation from East Stroudsburg University. Our offices are located within The Learning Center in Rosenkrans East. We provide necessary educational and supportive services to Pennsylvania undergraduate students whose cultural, economic and educational disadvantages might impede their ability to pursue higher education opportunities successfully. We are student centered and strongly believe in our goal to maximize the academic potential of every student we come in contact with during their time at East Stroudsburg University.
We have been in existence on this campus for over thirty-five years. We strongly believe that you can achieve success through hard work, determination, and a little help from the Act 101 Program. We welcome the opportunity to be a part of your learning experience while you are attending East Stroudsburg University.
Our Mission
The mission of the ACT 101 Program parallels that of the university's: to provide our students access to high quality programs in both traditional and emerging fields of study recognizing and promoting human and intellectual diversity. Thus preparing competent graduates to enter a complex and changing global society with competence and confidence.
