Noted Shakespearean Actor, Director, Producer to Speak at ESU

Paul Barry, noted Shakespearean actor, director and producer, who has directed each of Shakespeare's 38 plays and performed in many of them, will be a guest lecturer at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. in Room 317 of Stroud Hall.

“From Hamlet to Troilus and Cressida: Pessimism, Cynicism, Despair,” is the title of Barry’s lecture to a Shakespeare course taught by Dr. Ronald Meyers, ESU professor of English. The lecture will run about an hour, and then Mr. Barry will be available to answer questions and engage in dialogue about his work. The presentation is open to the general public and members of the college community at no cost.
