Executive Editor of Pocono Mountain Media Group to Speak to Students About Media Publicity>

East Stroudsburg University’s Student Activity Association has announced a presentation titled, "Feeding the Media part 2: Get the Word Out," as part of their ongoing series aimed at developing student leadership. Guest speaker, William Watson, Executive Editor of Pocono Mountains Media Group will speak about how to seek media publicity for an event or program. Pocono Mountains Media Group encompasses Pocono Record, Eastern Poconos Community News, Pocono Record Online, Sage, numerous content-niche newsletters, and a text messaging service.

The presentation will be held Wednesday, October 7, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on the top floor of the University Center in Room 206 A/B and is free and open to the public. All students, not only aspiring journalists, are encouraged to attend. The program is an opportunity for ESU students to have an editor-in-chief explain publicity from a publication’s point of view and how a person seeking publicity can best present their information to a media outlet. There will be a question and answer session immediately following the presentation.
