New Director of Procurement and Contracting Named at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania

Michael Crapp has been named Director of Procurement and Contracting at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Formerly the Manager of Business Operations at TXU Energy of Dallas, Texas, the new manager comes to ESU with more than twenty years of experience in the field of procurement and contract management.

In his new position at ESU, Mr. Crapp will be responsible for university-wide procurement of supplies, services, and equipment, as well as direction and oversight of design and construction contracting processes. He will also act as the university's designated construction contracting specialist. He will report to the Vice-President of Finance and Administration.

The new director began his career in procurement and contracting as a Staff Manager of Branch Procurement at Bellsouth of Atlanta, Ga., and gained progressive experience through assignments with GTE Corporation and Verizon Communications. Mr. Crapp earned his master's of business administration degree at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga., and his bachelor's of business administration in real estate finance at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla.
