Cirque du Soleil Bus Trip on December 8

The East Stroudsburg University of Pa., Student Activity Association is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City to see the Cirque du Soleil production of Wintuk at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, December 8, 2007.

The show features a cast of high-energy urban street characters, including acrobats, dancers, and giant marionettes. The show's main character embarks on a journey to an imaginary Nordic world called Wintuk with three companions - a female Shaman who is lost in the city, a timid young man called Wimpy destined to discover his courage, and the shadow of a young girl - in search of snow in order to bring it back where it belongs. The cost is $45 for ESU students and $65 for guests and includes admission to the show and round trip coach bus transportation. Tickets may be purchased at the University Center, Second Floor, Student Activities Complex between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. The bus departs the ESU campus at 11:30 a.m., show time is at 3 p.m., and the bus will depart the city at 7 p.m. to return to the ESU campus. For more information, please call 570-422-3055.
