A group of faculty and staff members represented East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) 2007 Women of Color Summit, held November 16-17 in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

The third annual PASSHE Women of Color Summit was attended by over 120 participants representing all 14 schools in the PASSHE system. The focus of the summit was to engage the group in discussion about particular opportunities and challenges faced by women of color in their roles as faculty, students, administrators or professional staff. Summit discussions also addressed providing opportunities for connection and engagement with others through focused dialogue within the context of the PASSHE Diversity Strategic Plan. Ideas and strategies to help women employees of color succeed in higher education were also discussed.
