ESU Students Help Santa With Holiday Correspondence

Because delivering letters to Santa Claus at the North Pole can be troublesome, Santa has once again partnered with the East Stroudsburg Post Office to establish a special outpost for correspondence in the Lenape Residence Hall at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. This special outpost will only be available now through December 21, 2007.

Letters to Santa can be dropped off at the East Stroudsburg post office (no postage required) or mailed to Santa at the East Stroudsburg post office. Lenape Hall residents will collect the children's letters from the post office and respond with a return letter and coloring page from Santa. This is the third year that Lenape residents have undertaken the project with the guidance of Resident Director Kelly Weaber Heagele, who reminds children to include their name and a return address on all letters so that Santa can respond.

The "Letters to Santa" program is a wonderful holiday tradition that provides a free opportunity for kids to send their Christmas letters to Santa and receive a response, and it also provides ESU students with a refreshing reminder of the innocence and excitement of childhood during the holidays.
