ESU to Hold Moment of Silence for Jeffrey Dailey and Kathleen Novack on Friday Night at Eiler-Martin Stadium

East Stroudsburg University will honor the memories of Jeffrey Dailey and Kathleen Novack, ESU students who lost their lives in separate tragedies within the last week, with a moment of silence before the NCAA Division II men's soccer regional games on Friday evening at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The ESU athletic department joins the rest of the campus community in mourning the loss of Jeffrey, 22, of Easton, Pa. in a fire at his off-campus house on Thursday morning, and Kathleen, who was killed in a car accident last Sunday morning.

Jeffrey transferred to ESU in January 2007 from Cabrini College and participated in workouts with the men's basketball program last spring, and was a close friend to many members of the team.

Below are links to more information about yesterday's tragic fire.

There are two ways to help survivors of the fire:

* Donations for East Stroudsburg University students can be sent to ESU Advancement Office, 200 Prospect St., East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. Please note on the memo line "ESU Student Tragedy Fund."

* Donations for the Howell family can be dropped off at Advanced Door Technologies (the former Hughes Printing building), Courtland Street, East Stroudsburg, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
