From the Office of the President:

Dear Friends:

Thank you for your interest in the East Stroudsburg University Commission on Racial & Ethnic Diversity (CORED). I hope you will find the information provided on this webpage helpful.

Our goal is to make ESU the first choice for students from various cultures and backgrounds who wish to attend a comprehensive university with a small college climate. An essential element to achieving this goal is having a diverse and credentialed faculty to assist our students in their quest to learn, serve, and succeed in a global society.

Through our Office of Diversity & Equal Opportunity, working collaboratively with CORED, we continuously strive to develop a learning community that promotes diversity. CORED advocates for the development of programs and events that contribute to the intellectual growth of ESU students, faculty and staff, and foster a welcoming climate.

The links below demonstrate our commitment to creating an atmosphere where, we value differences, we do not tolerate prejudice, and we work collaboratively toward reflecting a multicultural society. ESU currently offers various student scholarships and awards, and has a number of faculty and staff–developed initiatives and grant–supported faculty work on issues related to race and ethnicity.

You will also find links to the campus–wide diversity events we have scheduled for the academic year, information on funding these events, and a list of the faculty members and administrators who serve on CORED.

Thank you again for visiting CORED on the web. Please feel free to submit comments and questions to any of the commission members.

Sincerely,

Robert Dillman
President

  • Policies and procedures related to hiring, promotion, tenure, and salary, which will have a positive impact on the attraction and retention of racially and ethnically diverse faculty and staff.
  • Policies and procedures that will provide professional development opportunities that will have a positive impact on employment, recruitment and retention.
