Research & Economic Development provides client companies with a variety of workforce development resources and customized contracted training, including access to the WEDnetPA Guarantee Free Training Program and Customized Job Training Grants through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development, and to training and educational opportunities offered through East Stroudsburg University and the East Stroudsburg Corporate University.
Corporate University
An affiliate of ESU's Center for Research and Economic Development (CFRED), is committed to developing and delivering top-notch workforce development programs and services to our business community. With this in mind, we have partnered with university faculty and leading consultants in their fields which offer invaluable seminars and workshops to individuals, teams and organizations.
Workforce Development Grant Programs
There are many funding sources available to provide support for basic, and customized job training to area businesses. The Center for Research & Economic Development will help facilitate the application for funding process.

Industry Partnership Grants
An Industry Partnership is a multi–employer collaborative that brings together management and employees to improve competitiveness of the companies. Effective Partnerships facilitate companies to come together to aggregate training and educational needs.

Linking businesses and individuals to Pennsylvania's workforce development and independent living services offered through these agencies:

Department of Public Welfare
Bureau of Employment & Training Programs

PA Workforce Education Research Center (LINK)

  • Improve the cohesiveness and quality of the Bureau's workforce development initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively across the ABLE system to provide professional development opportunities that build the system's capacity to address WIA, Title II performance goals, and function effectively as a partner in PA's workforce development system.
