Mission Statement

The mission of the WellU Committee is to provide the campus community with opportunities to foster and celebrate a life-long commitment to wellness. The committee will accomplish this by:

  1. Empowering individuals to pursue healthy lifestyles.
  2. Collaborating with community partners to provide information, programs and activities.
  3. Nurturing efforts to develop a campus community that embraces wellness.

Tai Chi Chuan - March 28, 2014,12:00 - 1:00 PM, Wrestling Room of Koehler Fieldhouse

Tai Chi Chuan is a low impact exercise which has the benefit of improving physiological health including: strengthens lower ligaments of the body to promote stability, posture control, and balanced body; improvements in psychological well-being including reduced stress, anxiety, depression and mood disturbance, and increased self-esteem. During this session, you will learn the foundation of Tai Chi Chuan movements, techniques to improve posture, stability and relaxation.
