Dr. Joanne Zakartha Bruno, J.D., is the Provost, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and serves as the University's Chief Academic Officer.
The Provost oversees academic policies and activities throughout the University and is responsible for planning, coordination, and assessment of the University's academic enterprise.
Reporting directly to the Provost are Deans from the

- College of Business and Management
- College of Education
- College of Health Sciences
- University College
- Graduate College
- Kemp Library
Additionally, the Provost provides oversight and is responsible for the office of the Associate Provost, the Office of Sponsored Projects and Research (OSPR), and for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning and Assessment (OIEPA) which consists of the Office of Institutional Research and the office of Assessment and Accreditation.
The Office of the Provost provides leadership in fulfilling the University's strategic directions - academic excellence, student learning, service, diversity, expanded resources, and a positive campus climate.
