The goal of Computing & Communication Services is to provide total availability of all supported services to the campus community and support of an environment that is conducive to the application of technology in administration, teaching, research, and learning. Fundamental to this goal is the provision of a stable operating environment including a network and hardware infrastructure and a diverse set of support services. Programs and services must be in line with the needs of a diverse and progressive faculty and student population.
To accomplish our goals, CCS is organized into 3 areas each with a goal specific to its functions yet complimentary to the overall goal of CCS.
- Administrative Computing - is responsible for supporting the administrative data processing needs of the university, coordinating technical support across departments.
- Academic Computing - located in Stroud 303 AC's primary focus is to provide an efficient, pleasant, and productive lab experience, and to implement and troubleshoot computing solutions for faculty and staff.
- Communication Services - is the university business unit responsible for the design, implementation, operation, maintenance and evolution of central voice, video and networks. These are critical utilities at the university and are fundamental to the success of research, teaching, and learning. Our goal is to provide seamless and pervasive telecommunications for the university community.
